On the Solemnity of our Lord’s Ascension, Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma blessed the Adoration Chapel, the image of the Angel of Peace, then presided over the Holy Mass at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.
He was joined by Fr. Ricky Bermudez, MSC (Parish Priest), and other visiting priests.
In his homily, the good Archbishop reminded the faithful that the Lord’s ascension does not mean he left us because He is and will always be with us. Rather, this is a call for us to continue the mission, of spreading the Good News and making this world a better place to live in.
“Ang pagsaka ni Kristo sa langit as it were kutob siya diha sa iyang ministeryo dinhi sa yuta. Ang sugo ni Lord, padayunon nato, sa atong lain-laing pamaagi, to tell the world nga kining kalibutan, taliwala sa problema, is still a beautiful world. Padayunon nato pagsulti nga bisan pa sa atong naagian nga mga pagsulay, there is hope. Padayunon nato pagsulti nga kita instrumento sa kalinaw ug kadait. Kon makita nato, ang usag usa nga we are a brother and sister to them. Magtinabangay kita, so that we can make this world a better place to live in,” said Archbishop Palma.
