Today, 14 deacons are ordained to the Sacred Order of Presbyters by Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.
Together with the Archbishop were Cebu Auxiliary Bishops Emeriti Antonio Rañola and Emilio Bataclan; Msgr. Vicente Rey Penagunda, and Msgr. Roger Fuentes, Vicars General of the Archdiocese of Cebu; Fr. Mhar Vincent Balili, Rector of Seminario Mayor de San Carlos; and the Presbyterium of the Archdiocese.

In his Homily, the good Archbishop reminded the Ordinandi that they are priests forever, and that they must cherish that gift of priesthood.
“Since it is a gift, it can be lost. Not because the Lord takes it back, but because we do not take care of it. Take care of your priesthood,” said Archbishop Palma.
