Archbishop-Emeritus Palma receives Distinguished Thomasian Alumni Award

Earlier this evening, Cebu Archbishop-Emeritus Jose S. Palma and other clergy alumni were endowed with the Distinguished Thomasian Alumni Award at the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes OP Building, University of Santo Tomas (UST) in España, Sampaloc, Manila.

The Tenth Distinguished Thomasian Alumni Awards Night aims to recognize the remarkable lives and works of Thomasian alumni who have embodied the UST core values of competence, commitment, and compassion, has given pride and honor to the university and has contributed significantly to their respective communities.

The event began with a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Jerome Secillano, President of the UST Alumni Lay and Priests Association (UST-ALPA).

May this recognition of our Archbishop Emeritus remind us that one’s life is not measured by academic achievements alone, but also by how they are used to shape and help community, especially the marginalized.
