Today, the San Guillermo de Aquitania Parish in Dalaguete, Cebu, holds its Ninth Day Novena in honor of their patron saint.
Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Visperas Mass. He was joined by Msgr. Vicente Rey Penagunda (Vicar General), Fr. Joseph Stephen Anore (Parish Priest), Fr. Julrie Camay (Parochial Vicar), and other visiting priests.
Emphasizing the importance of placing God at the center of our lives, the good Archbishop, in his homily, reminded the faithful that, regardless of circumstances or emotions, God is more than enough.
“If you have everything except Christ, you have nothing. If you have nothing except Christ, you have everything,” said Archbishop Abet.
Prior to the Holy Mass, the Church and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dalaguete formalized a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the use of the Church Plaza.
Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy subsequently led the blessing of the plaza.
Tomorrow, February 10, the parish will celebrate its Annual Fiesta. The Solemn Pontifical Mass will be at 10:00 AM to presided over by Cebu Archbishop Emeritus Jose S. Palma.
