Nicolas Mollenedo Mondejar is from Iloilo. He was consecrated bishop on August 30, 1970 to become the Auxiliary to Cardinal Rosales. While in Cebu he was also Parish Priest of St. Therese in Lahug (1970) and then of Sto. Rosario (1972) until his installation as Bishop of Romblon on April 17, 1975.
