Earlier today, the outgoing Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma formally installed Fr. Ruel Marigomen as the new parish priest of San Pedro Calungsod Parish in Cantabaco, Toledo City.
The good Archbishop, in his homily, emphasized the significant aspect of priestly life: the frequent transfers that come with their vocation. Rather than viewing these transitions with sadness, he encouraged everyone to embrace them as opportunities for the priests to share their kindness and goodness with new parishes in need.
“Ayaw kamo kasuko sa obispo kon balhinon kaparian kay mao kini among kinabuhi. Tungod maayo ang pari, unta ma-experience sa lain-laing parokya ang maayo nga pari,” said Archbishop Palma.
It is a beautiful reminder that their work is not confined to one place; instead, they are called to sow seeds of love and support wherever they go.
