Today, the community of believers in the Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Carcar City, Cebu, celebrates its 426th Annual Fiesta in honor of their Titular Patroness.
Cebu Archbishop Alberto Uy celebrated the 6:00 AM Pontifical Mass together with the Team of Pastors headed by Fr. Miguelito Sarmago, and other visiting priests.
In his homily, the Archbishop exhorted the faithful to emulate the virtues set forth by St. Catherine of Alexandria. He also highlighted that Corruption has no place in the life of a Christian.
Busa, sigurado nga ikasakit gayod kini sa Ginoo,” said Archbishop Abet.
We pray that just like Saint Catherine of Alexandria, we may stand up for what is true, good, and right. Let us always uphold justice and become beacons of Christ’s radiant truth to all.
