Bienvenido Tudtud from Cebu City, was ordained bishop on March 24, 1968 as Auxiliary to Bishop Surban in Dumaguete. Prior to that appointment he was Parish Priest of Guadalupe from 1964 to 1967. In 1971 he became bishop-prelate of Iligan. He was the bishop-prelate of Marawi (since 1977).
