Today, devotees of the Divine Mercy from all over the Archdiocese come together at the IC3 Pavilion for the Fifth Cebu Archdiocesan Apostolic Congress on Mercy.
Outgoing Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma opens the Congress with the celebration of the Holy Mass. Together with him are Msgr. Romualdo Kintanar, Fr. Lucas Inoc, and other visiting priests.
The Archbishop reminded the delegates of the importance of mercy in evangelization. One must not limit himself to prayer, but it must be translated into action. As devotees of the Divine Mercy, all are called to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through showing mercy to others.
The congress will run until Sunday, August 24, and will culminate with a Eucharistic Celebration together with Military Bishop Oscar Jaime Florencio.
