Lenten Examination of Conscience – Peace with the family

In these days, as tensions and violence continue to affect many parts of the world, Pope Leo XIV has repeatedly called the faithful to pray and work for peace.

The Church reminds us that peace among nations is deeply connected to the peace that begins within each human heart. True peace is not built only through agreements between countries or leaders. It is also formed in the small and ordinary spaces of daily life, within our homes and in our families.

Let us now take a moment of silence and examine our consciences, reflecting on how we have lived peace within our families.

  1. Have my words, attitudes, or actions caused tension, hurt, or division among family members?
  2. Have I shown patience, respect, and understanding toward my parents, spouse, children, or relatives?
  3. Have I taken steps to reconcile and forgive, or have I allowed anger, pride, or resentment to remain
in my heart toward someone in my family?
