New priests begin service at Guadalupe parish

The Community of Believers in the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe de Cebu joyfully welcomed their new Team of Pastors.

The team is composed of Fr. Joselito “Joy” Danao, Fr. Wendell Balbuena, Fr. Ramon Echica, and Fr. Lyle Cono.

Outgoing Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma presided over the Installation Mass. During his homily, he reminded the faithful of the constancy of change in the life of a Priest, saying that we should support our priests to the best of our abilities. However, when it is time for them to go, they should allow their priests to take on a new chapter in their life of service for the Church.

Team Moderator Fr. Joselito Danao, in addressing the faithful, asked them for prayers as he and his co-pastors begin their new journey at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

“Samtang namalandong ako sa dakong tahas nga among pagabuhaton, gi kuyawan ko, kay pwerte gayung dakoa sa among pagabuhaton. Pero ang nakahupay nako mao ang mga pulong sa Mahal nga Birhen ngadto ni Juan Diego: ‘Wala ba ka nakahibaw nga ako man ang imong Inahan?'”

Let us entrust these new pastors to the care of Our Lady, that she may keep them always in her refuge.
