He was the Dean of the metropolitan council of Manila when he was designated Bishop of Cebu. He took possession of the Diocese on August 12, 1653 and died in 1661. This is according to the caption that is found in his picture. (Some of the manuscripts signed by him indicate that he was bishop of Cebu from November 26, 1654 to the year 1658.)
