The Archdiocese of Cebu hosted the Metropolitan CBCP-UST Synodal Research Presentation and Workshop today, October 10, 2025, at the Ecce Homo Hall of Cebu Quincentennial Hotel, Cebu City.
Present were the synodal Coordinating Team from Cebu and its suffragan dioceses – Dumaguete, Tagbilaran, Talibon, and Maasin.
The event was facilitated by Fr. Vladimir Echalas and Ms. Florence Navidad from the CBCP Synodal Research Team.
In his message, Cebu Archbishop Alberto Uy emphasized that may the things presented during the event will be like an “earthquake” within our local Churches—not one that destroys, but one that awakens and transforms.
“May this spiritual shaking move us to rebuild not just walls and structures, but hearts and relationships. Let this holy “earthquake” renew our faith, rekindle our compassion, and realign our mission so that the Church may truly be a living sign of God’s mercy and love in these challenging times,” said Archbishop Uy.
