“Let nothing disturb you, nothing dismay you; all things are passing: God never changes.” – Saint Teresa of Avila

I came across this quote on CADComM’s Facebook page while searching for “huyuhoy” on the same day as my last day of work immersion here at CADComM, which is today. It perfectly encapsulates my two-week journey, where I witnessed and experienced how work can be rooted in collective commitment and a strong faith in God.

At first, I thought my time at CADComM would be just another routine task to complete. However, from the moment I stepped into the office, I was welcomed with warmth and generosity. The CADComM family offered not only their time and resources but also unwavering support, without expecting anything in return. One of the things I enjoyed most was the orientation, where we were introduced to our STC co-intern friends, forming a bond in such a short time. Throughout my immersion journey, I interacted with dedicated individuals who made sure every moment was valuable. My work immersion supervisors, in particular, were always there—whether through interactive work orientations, patiently guiding us through tasks, answering our little questions, or even letting us experience real-world work scenarios like interviews and filming.

One of my favorite moments during the immersion was when we assisted our supervisors during the filming of Stories of Hope. It was a humbling experience, as I witnessed firsthand how the team worked together to create something meaningful. During the filming, a quote from Sister Bernadette struck me deeply when she was asked a question about advice for someone who felt lost. She answered: “Listen, try to listen, kay karon nga kalibutan noisy, daghan og distractions. Paminaw sa imong sulod, ayaw sa gawas, kay dra nimo maalinaaw kung unsa ang direction nga giahatag sa Ginoo.” Hearing those words while at work was a truly humbling experience, and it reminded me of the importance of finding stillness amidst the noise and trusting in God’s guidance.

In conclusion, this brief two-week journey reminded me that while challenges may come and go, the values of faith, purpose, and unity I saw within the cadcom team remained constant. The culture at CADComM, centered on faith and service, allowed me to approach each day with a sense of peace, knowing that every task was part of a greater mission. I am truly grateful to CADComM for the opportunity to be part of such a dedicated and compassionate family. Their unwavering support, generosity, and commitment to their work not only provided me with valuable skills but also inspired me to grow personally and spiritually. I leave this experience with a deeper appreciation for the power of faith-driven work and the importance of unity in achieving a common goal.

My time in CADComM has been more than just an experience. It has been a journey of faith, love, and selflessness. In just two weeks, I witnessed how faith brings people together, not just as individuals but as a united community driven by passion and purpose. It was inspiring to see how love, not material wealth, sustains this community. Their strength comes from their shared belief, their willingness to serve, and their deep-rooted faith in something greater than themselves.

Through this journey, I found myself adjusting in ways I never thought possible. From the simple act of commuting to work to immersing myself in a space where faith is the foundation of everything, I learned valuable lessons about sacrifice, humility, and generosity. Being surrounded by people who serve not for recognition but out of love and devotion reminded me of the true essence of giving.

Most importantly, CADComM deepened my faith. It showed me that faith is not just a belief. It is an active force that moves people, inspires selflessness, and creates a ripple of goodness. It is a vehicle of love and passion, guiding us to serve others with open hearts. CADComM may be a small community, but the faith within it opened my eyes to a whole new world. One where kindness flourishes, love abounds, and faith leads the way. For that, I am truly grateful.

My experience here in CADComM was a lot of fun and it will hold a lot of memories. The first time I came to CADComM, I was nervous but as time went on it went away. I met a lot of new people which I call them my friends now. They are really fun people to be with and they are really approachable. They are always there for you when you need help with something and these two weeks were worth it because I thought that it was gonna be boring but it wasn’t. I’ve learned a lot here at CADComM and experienced a lot of new things and lessons with the people around me.

I thank the CADComM team for always checking up on me because I was the quietest person in the office, and I also thank them for giving me the best experience here at CADComM.

With the two weeks of experience in CADComM, I learned the values of teamwork and community service. My advisors had taught me a lot despite our limited time and had allowed us to observe and participate in activities such as filming a documentary, collaborating with the other participating work immersion members, celebrating Sinolog, and so much more.

To reflect on my work experience with CADComM, I can confidently say that our engagement contained many meaningful insights, I was able to reflect on the values of community and dedication, as well as prepare myself for the real world and the challenges it may offer. I gained a deeper understanding of digital media, further broadening my social and critical skills. I hope to carry the memories I’ve made with my co-workers and advisors with me, and the guidance they have shown in my future endeavors.

At the beginning of our Work Immersion journey, I found myself quite scared and awkward with what we were about to embark on. But as we got to know more about CADComM, that feeling slowly transitioned into a feeling of comfort and excitement about what we were about to do.

CADComM not only showed us what it was like to work in the field, but they also taught us the basics. Not only that, but they made us feel at home at the workplace, offering us food and conversing with us as friends.

In all honesty, these 2 weeks felt too short to fully grasp the entire experience of working at CADComM but I am extremely grateful to the team for making me feel at home with the company and giving me an unforgettable journey. The experience I’ve had, as well as the lessons I’ve learned, will stay with me in the long run and allow me to apply the learnings to my life and my work.

I give my sincerest gratitude to the CADComM
