461st Fiesta Señor foot procession draws 1.9M devotees

An estimated 1.9 million devotees joined the Solemn Foot Procession for the 461st Fiesta Señor, bearing witness to their enduring devotion to the Señor Santo Niño.

Despite earlier concerns over an approaching typhoon, fair weather prevailed, allowing the procession to proceed peacefully.

Along the route, the faithful prayed the rosary and sang hymns as the images of Señor San Jose, Our Lady of Consolation, and the Señor Santo Niño made their way through the city streets, transforming Cebu into a living expression of prayer, gratitude, and hope.

Upon the return to the Pilgrim Center, Fr. Danilo Carrido, OSA (Basilica Vice Rector), accompanied by Fr. Andres Rivera, Jr., OSA (Basilica Rector), enthroned the image of the Holy Child and led the Act of Consecration.

Cebu Archbishop-Emeritus Jose S. Palma then presided over the 5:30 PM Solemn Vespers Mass, joined by the Augustinian Friars and visiting priests.
