The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu will welcome the pilgrim image of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje (Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage) from July 17 to 20, 2026, as part of the nationwide celebration marking the 400th anniversary of the arrival of her sacred image in the Philippines and the 100th anniversary of her canonical coronation.
The four-day pilgrimage forms part of the Diocese of Antipolo’s commemorative journey, which retraces the historic voyages of its beloved patroness by bringing the pilgrim image to selected archdioceses, dioceses, and major ports across the country.
Church organizers said the visit offers the faithful an opportunity to deepen their devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and entrust to her their prayers for peace, protection, and safe journeys.
The pilgrim image will first arrive on July 17 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Rule in Lapu-Lapu City. On July 18, it will be carried in a fluvial procession along the Mactan Channel before visiting the Port of Cebu.
On July 19, the image will be welcomed at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, where a solemn procession will be held. The Cebu leg of the pilgrimage will conclude on July 20 with a farewell Mass at the Cebu Archdiocesan Shrine of San Pedro Calungsod.
The pilgrimage is being organized by the Stella Maris Ministry in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Commission on Migrants.
Church leaders are encouraging the faithful to participate in the various activities and prayer services throughout the visit, expressing hope that the historic pilgrimage will renew faith, strengthen hope, and inspire devotees to journey more closely with Christ through the maternal intercession of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.
