Cebu opens its doors to Catholic educators from across the country as it hosts the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) National Convention 2026 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino in Lahug, Cebu City.
More than 3,500 Catholic educators, school leaders, and education stakeholders have gathered for this year’s convention, carrying the theme, “Newness in Catholic Education: Charting a Constellation of Hope.”
Cotabato Archbishop Charlie M. Inzon, OMI presided over the Eucharistic celebration on the opening day of the convention.
In his homily, Archbishop Inzon acknowledged the many burdens Catholic educators carry today—from poverty and alarming incidents in schools to constantly changing curricula, increasing administrative demands, and the quiet weariness that often comes with serving others.
Amid these challenges, he reminded educators to look beyond the weight of their responsibilities and find their strength and hope in Christ, who sustains them in their mission of forming young people.
The gathering runs until Friday, September 25.
May the Lord continue to guide our Catholic educators and delegates with wisdom, passion, and vision, that they may remain bearers of hope and witnesses to excellence as they nurture the minds, hearts, and faith of the young across the nation.
