The San Vicente Ferrer Parish in San Vicente, Liloan, Cebu, holds its 9th Day of Novena in preparation for their 12th annual fiesta.
Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma presided over the Holy Mass. With him were Cebu Auxiliary Bishop – Emeritus Antonio Rañola, Fr. Crescenciano Ubod (Parish Priest), Fr. Florido Rosales (Parochial Vicar), and other visiting priests.
In his homily, the good Archbishop highlighted that in our journey, without Christ, it would be difficult to understand the meaning of time.
“We describe the passing of time as past, present, and future. And so on.
He emphasized that because of Christ, we have the beginning, the alpha, and the ending, the omega. May we begin with God and end with God.
“Ang beginning sa panahon, Diyos. Ang katapusan sa panahon Diyos. Bisan unsa man atong edad, unta atong sinugdan, Diyos, ug ang atong katapusan, Diyos.
Before the Mass, the good Archbishop blessed the new parish elevator.
On May 3, 2025, Tagum Bishop-Emeritus Wilfredo Manlapaz will preside over the 4:00 PM Fiesta Pontifical Mass.
