Sambag 1 and 2 parish celebrates 49th parish fiesta

The San Vicente Ferrer Parish in Sambag 1 & 2, Cebu City, celebrates its 49th parish fiesta with the theme: “Ehemplo sa Paglaum Alang sa Atong Nagpanaw na Parokya.”

Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma presided over the Holy Mass. With him were Fr. Mark Anthony Zarate, OFM (parish priest), the Franciscan community, and other visiting priests.

In his homily, the good Archbishop reminded the faithful to always ask for the intercession of the saints, for they serve as instruments of God’s miracles and graces.

He added that we are all unclean before the Lord, and thus, we should be humble enough to admit and repent our sins.

“Sa atong kinabuhi, dili kita manghambog, kay atubangan ni Lord tanan kita dunay kasaypanan… Pero, walay makapahimulag nato sa gugma sa Diyos. Salig kita sa Ginoo,” said Archbishop Palma.
