Most Rev. Teofilo Camomot

Teofilo Camomot is from Carcar, whom Archbishop Rosales consecrated on May 29, 1955 having been appointed by the Holy See to be the Auxiliary of Archbishop Jose Ma. Cuenco of Jaro. Not long afterwards he became Coadjutor Archbishop with right of succession to Archbishop James Hayes of Cagayan de Oro. He however resigned from the office on June 17, 1968. Upon his return to Cebu he became Parish Priest of Pardo (1970) and of Carcar (1976). Cardinal Vidal made him District Bishop of Southeastern part of Cebu and one of the Vicars General of the Archdiocese.
