Today, the St. Augustine of Hippo Quasi-Parish–Recoletos in Inayawan, Cebu City, celebrates its parish fiesta with the theme, “Snr. San Agustin: Angkla sa Paglaum sa Nagapanaw nga Simbahan.”
The Fiesta Pontifical Mass was presided over by the outgoing Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma. He was joined by the Augustinian priests and other visiting priests.
Focusing on the gift of faith, the good Archbishop, in his homily, encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in their hope, continue walking together as one community, and find true peace in God, guided by the example of St. Augustine.
During the Mass, the new parish priest, Fr. Cirilo Andam, OAR was also installed.
