Rosary deepens faith and love, reminds Arch. Uy

On this Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, the Christian community in Sto. Rosario Parish, P. Del Rosario, Cebu City, celebrates its 92nd Annual Fiesta with the theme: “Rosary: Our Special Bond of Faith, Reconciliation, and Unity in the Parish Community as we Journey Together in Hope for the Jubilee Year.”

Cebu Archbishop Alberto Uy presided over the Fiesta Pontifical Mass. He was joined by Cebu Auxiliary Bishop-Emeritus Antonio Rañola, as well as the parish team of pastors led by Msgr. Joseph Tan (Team Moderator), and other visiting priests.

In the journey of faith, the good Archbishop, in his homily, reminded everyone that the rosary is not just a series of prayers, but also our weapon against evil. Each bead represents a step closer to understanding God’s love and mercy.

“Sa pag-ampo nato sa rosaryo, namalandong ta sa mga misteryo sa kinabuhi ni Kristo. Sa atong pagsubay sa kinabuhi ni Kristo, hinay-hinay makasabot ta giunsa ta paghigugma sa Ginoo ug unsa pod atong buhaton nga maduol ta sa Ginoo. The shortest, safest, and surest way to God’s heart is through Mama Mary,” said Archbishop Abet.
