The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu sincerely wishes to thank our official Media partners in covering the historic event of Archbishop Alberto S. Uy’s arrival and his canonical possession of the Archdiocese of Cebu as our 5th Metropolitan Archbishop.
We wish also to express our deep regrets for any untoward but unintended experiences that some of our Media colleagues have been subjected to because of tensions brought about by our security and crowd control measures.
The Lord Jesus was a lover of crowds ( cf Mt 9:36-38) and for this reason we wish to reiterate our apologies if we have not communicated this message faithfully to those who felt excluded during the event.
May the arrival of our new Shepherd renew the commitment of the Archdiocese towards the path of synodality inviting everyone to journey with the local Church in hope.
