On September 30, 2025, Most Rev. Alberto “Abet” Uy was officially installed as the 5th Metropolitan Archbishop of Cebu.

On the same day, Cebu faced the devastating earthquake that tested the resilience of its people. Yet, even amidst adversity, there remains much to be grateful for. The spirit displayed during the installation ceremony serves as a reminder of our collective strength and unity. Archbishop Uy’s commitment to serving his flock provides us all with guidance and encouragement in these trying times.
