On this Second Day of Misa de Gallo 2025, Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presides over the Holy Mass at Parroquia de San Pedro Apostol in Bantayan, Cebu.

Reflecting on the genealogy of Jesus, the good Archbishop in his homily underscored how it powerfully affirms that God truly became man and chose to dwell among us.

He noted that the lineage of Christ names all kinds of people — from the powerful to the poor, from the righteous to the flawed. This, he said, invites the faithful to embrace and acknowledge every person, especially those within our own family tree, regardless of status, past, or circumstance.

“Tendency nato nga kon maayo nga kaliwat atong angkunon. Ug di maayo, moingon ra og distant relative. Sukwahi sa gipadayag sa Ginoo nato karon. Iyang gidawat tanan,” he exhorted.

Tomorrow, December 18, the good Archbishop will preside over the Third Day of Misa de Gallo at San Isidro Labrador Parish in Maya, Daanbantayan, Cebu.
