The faithful of San Isidro Labrador Parish in Maya, Daanbantayan, Cebu, gather at dawn in prayer and hope for the Third Day of Misa de Gallo presided over by Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy.
Drawing inspiration from the quiet strength of St. Joseph, the good Archbishop, in his homily, urged everyone to choose what is right over what is easy.
He called them to let actions speak louder than words, and to rediscover the grace of silence where hearts are stilled and the voice of God can be truly heard.
“Karong panahona, daghang tawo saba. Daghang tawo motingog. Pero gamay ra ang naglihok para sa kaayohan. Si San Jose, tungod kay di siya saba nga tawo, makadungog siya sa Ginoo. Mao ni atong gikinahanglan karon,” he said.
Tomorrow, December 19, Archbishop Abet will preside over the Fourth Day of Misa de Gallo at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish in Bagay, Daanbantayan, Cebu.
