San Guillermo Parish marks 190th fiesta

The San Guillermo de Aquitania Parish in Catmon, Cebu, celebrates its 190th Parochial Fiesta Mass today.

Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Pontifical Mass, joined by Fr. Lyndon Ruiz (Episcopal Vicar of Middle North District 7), Fr. Dennis Baricuatro (Parish Priest), Fr. Gabrell Lacanglacang (Parochial Vicar), and other visiting priests.

Highlighting the call to stewardship and genuine discipleship, the good Archbishop, in his homily, urged the faithful to pray not merely for a change in circumstances but for a conversion of hearts and behavior, emphasizing that true discipleship must be rooted in genuine love, responsibility, and respect.

“Unsa man ang magtuklod sa tawo nga andam mobiya sa tanan – kaharuhay, bahandi, gahum ug pasidungog – aron mosunod kang Jesus? [Not because of fear nor worldly things] We follow someone because we know that that someone loves us so much, that is a genuine following ,” said Archbishop Abet.

Viva San Guillermo de Aquitania!
