Fr. Albert Benedict Soliman, OSA, of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu, and Fr. Ian Fel Balankig of the National Shrine of St. Joseph–Mandaue have been elected Treasurer and Vice President for the Visayas, respectively, of the Association of Catholic Shrines and Pilgrimages in the Philippines (ACSP).
They will serve a two-year term from 2026 to 2028.
The ACSP is under the auspices of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant Peoples.
The association seeks to foster a deeper sense of community through encounters and interaction among its members, pilgrims, and devotees, while promoting a greater understanding and appreciation of the historical, cultural, and spiritual significance of Catholic shrines and pilgrimages.
