Today, the Sto. Niño Parish in Paknaan & Labogon, Mandaue City, celebrates its 40th Parish Fiesta with the theme: “Sto. Niño Maghari Ka Diha sa Among Pagtuman sa Imong mga Sugo.”
Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Holy Mass. He was joined by Msgr. Ildebrando Jesus Leyson (Parish Priest), Fr. Jaime Oscar Aspril (Parochial Vicar), and other visiting priests.
Emphasizing the importance of an understanding heart, the Archbishop reminded the faithful in his homily that this is the kind of heart every Christian is called to embody—one modeled after the Holy Child: humble and open, attentive and compassionate, always ready to understand and willing to listen.
“Kon ang mga tawo naghupot pa og kasingkasing nga sama niini, pagkanindot. Langit ang atong kinabuhi. Wa untay maglisod nato,” said Archbishop Abet.
