Archdiocese aligns plans for centennial journey

The Coordinating Council on Synodal Transformation (CCOST) met today for a follow-up meeting, continuing the work begun in the previous meeting where various pastoral plans and activities were presented and entrusted to specific groups in the council.

Among the initiatives discussed were the formulation of formation modules for the one-day synodal process assembly; the reorganization of the PPC and the establishment of the Parish Formation Center; celebration activities spearheaded by the Commission on Worship; the revitalization and creation of new Basic Ecclesial Communities; collaboration with LOMAS (Lay Organizations, Movements and Service); the strengthening of ecumenical initiatives and environmental advocacies; and the expansion of the Archdiocese’s outreach to the peripheries.

During the session, the council reviewed each group’s progress, clarified timelines, and evaluated progams and strategies so that implementation may begin at the start of the second quarter.

This follow-up meeting is part of the Archdiocese’s ongoing journey toward its centennial celebration in 2034, ensuring that pastoral initiatives are aligned with the vision and mission leading up to this milestone.
