The Patria de Cebu officially opened its courtyard and several of its tenants to the public earlier today, marked by a blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Cebu Archbishop-Emeritus Jose S. Palma.
Coinciding with today’s Opening Salvo of the Fiesta Señor 2026, Archbishop Palma said the momentous occasion stood as yet another manifestation of the love and goodness of Señor Sto. Niño—reminding the faithful that despite trials, pains, and calamities, there remain enduring reasons to give thanks to the Lord and to rejoice.
Once completed, Patria de Cebu will house the Archdiocesan Offices, alongside event centers, hotels, and other facilities designed to serve the needs of Cebuanos and support the events and celebrations of the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral just across the street.
