RCAC celebrates titular feast at Archbishop’s Residence

On this Solemnity of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, the titular feast of the Archdiocese of Cebu, representatives from the Jubilee Churches and Stories of Hope sharers gathered for a Thanksgiving Mass at the Chapel of St. Joseph, Archbishop’s Residence Compound, D. Jakosalem St., Cebu City.

Msgr. Roger Fuentes (Vicar General) presided over the Holy Mass. With him were Fr. Junel Fuentes (Director, Cebu Archdiocesan Digital Communications Ministry) and visiting priests.

In his homily, he reminded the faithful that every grace received, including those from the Jubilee, is a gift from Christ.

“I would like to believe [that] we have our own experiences in the name of Jesus. Mao nga atong hunahunaon, kanang atong kaayohan, atong kaluwasan, [mga] grasya nga miabot sa kalibutan nga nadawat nato, ato kining nadawat in the name of Jesus. Including the grace of Jubilee, daghan tag nadawat nga grasya sa Hubileyo, in the name of Jesus,” he said.

He further underscored the exclusivity of this salvation, echoing the words of St. Paul.

“We are reminded of St. Paul that there is no other way of salvation and other name, wa gyuy laing kaluwasan, gawas lamang diha sa ngalan ni Hesus,” he added.
