The Parish of Gregory the Great in Ginatilan, Cebu, celebrates today its annual parochial fiesta.
Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Holy Mass. He was joined by Fr. Johndy Enanoria (Parish Priest), Fr. Marc Jade Giduquio (Parochial Vicar), and other visiting priests.
Reflecting on the life of St. Gregory the Great, the good Archbishop, in his homily, emphasized that greatness is not about how many people serve you but about how many people you serve.
“Today, St. Gregory the Great reminds us that in the Church of Christ, the path to greatness is very different from the world’s path. It is not the path of pride. It is not the path of seeking recognition. It is the path of humility, service, and love,” said Archbishop Abet.
