Today, the San Isidro Labrador Parish – San Isidro, Talisay City, Cebu marked its 9th Day Novena in preparation for it’s 21st Parish Fiesta.

Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Holy Mass. He was joined by Msgr. Agustin Ancajas (Parish Priest) and other visiting priests.

In his homily, Archbishop Abet reflects on our journey together as a church fully alive. He gives three signs of a church that is fully alive: first, when the people understand the faith deeply; second, the people celebrates the faith joyfully; and third, a people who witness the faith.

“Si San Isidro Labrador mao ang atong modelo. Siya nakasabot sa iyang gituohan, unya nag celebrate, nagsaksi… Mao na nga si San Isidro Labrador, sa iyang pagtrabaho, kugi; unya sa iyang abot, magpaambit sa mga kabus,” he said.

Tomorrow, May 16, Prosperidad Bishop Ruben Labajo will preside over the 10:00 AM Fiesta Pontifical Mass.
