As the Universal Church marked the celebration of the World Communications Day, the Cebu Archdiocesan Digital Communications Ministry (CADComM), the digital evangelization arm of the Archdiocese of Cebu, formally inaugurated its new Mission Hub at the IEC Tower, Archbishop’s Residence Compound along D. Jakosalem Street, Cebu City.
The Mission Hub was made possible through the generosity of the Ramon “Nito” Durano Family Foundation Incorporated (RDFFI).
The inauguration opened with a Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Hezron Jhud Cartagena, Secretary to the Apostolic Nunciature to the Ivory Coast, together with Fr. Junel Fuentes, CADComM Director; Fr. Jesam Felicano, CADComM Spiritual Director; and Fr. Francisco Ricardo Cañete of St. Augustine of Hippo Parish in Carmen.
In his homily, Fr. Hezron emphasized that authentic Christian communication goes beyond digital reach and must lead to genuine human connection.
“Communication is not only about transmitting messages, but being close and uniting each other,” he said.
Following the Mass, Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy led the ribbon-cutting, unveiling of the commemorative marker, and blessing.
Present during the event were Danao City Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III, members of the RDFFI, sponsors, and benefactors whose support helped bring the project to fruition.
Archbishop Abet thanked all those who continue to share their time, talent, and resources for the ministry, urging CADComM members to make the Mission Hub a center for evangelization and truth in the digital age.
Established in 2021, CADComM continues to strengthen its mission of bridging faith and technology through digital evangelization.
