Today, the Christian Community of San Roque Parish, Uling, City of Naga, celebrates its 52nd Founding Anniversary and Parish Fiesta.

Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Pontifical Mass together with Fr. Harvey Argoncillo (Parish Priest), and other visiting priests.

Drawing from the Archdiocesan Thrust towards 2034, the Archbishop exhorted the faithful to remain steadfast in the journey towards becoming a Church Fully Alive.

“Mga igsuon, ang akong pag-ampo ug hagit ninyo nga kining atong pagkabuhi nga simbahan diri sa sulod, unta ato sad ipakita didto sa gawas. Delikado man gud kon buhi ta diri, unya paggawas nato manglibak gihapon ta, mang-marites gihapon ta, ang atong batasan perting ngil-ara, saputon ta kanunay. Ang Fully Alive Church, nakasabot sa iyang pagtuo, di siya magtuo-tuo. Magsaksi siya sa iyang gituohan. Kristiyano siya dili lang sa sulod sa simbahan kondili apil didto sa gawas,” said Archbishop Abet.

Prior to the Holy Mass, the Archbishop planted a Narra Tree to commemorate his visit.
