The Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Michael Archangel in Argao, Cebu, honors Saint Michael today in their 238th Fiesta Celebration.
Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Solemn Pontifical Mass. He was joined by the team of pastors led by Fr. Januario Kipling Agravante IV, and other visiting priests.
In his homily, Archbishop Abet Uy encouraged the faithful to draw inspiration from the courage and faithfulness of St. Michael the Archangel, who remained steadfast in following God and standing against evil.
He reminded everyone that, in life’s many decisions and crossroads, we are called to choose what is right: to speak out against injustice, confront evil, stand for truth, and, above all, remain faithful to God.
“Unta atong gamiton atong kagawasan sa pagpili og mga buhat nga angay sa mga anak sa Diyos. Usa ray kinahanglan nga ang yawa magmadaugon. Mahitabo na kon ang mga maayong tawo, way buhaton,” said Archbishop Abet.
