Earlier today, Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the 8th Day Novena at the Sto. Rosario Parish in P. del Rosario St., Cebu City, in preparation for its 93rd Annual Fiesta.
He was joined by the parish team of pastors led by Msgr. Joseph Tan (Team Moderator), and other visiting priests.
In his homily, Archbishop Abet emphasized that when we see someone in need, our concern should not end with simply feeling for them, but should move us to act with compassion and extend a helping hand. Our faith, he reminded us, must be translated into action.
“Daghan nato maluluy-on man ta. Pero kutob ra ta sa kaluoy. Kana bang maluoy ta unya mohimo gyod ta og mga lakang,” said Archbishop Abet.
On Wednesday, October 7, Cebu Archbishop-Emeritus Jose Palma will preside over the 10:00 AM Fiesta Pontifical Mass.
