God never forgets you

“If there is one message I would like us to carry in our hearts today, it is this: God never forgets you.

In the first reading, we hear a very tender and powerful line. The people of Israel cry out: “The Lord has forsaken me; my Lord has forgotten me.”

How real that sounds. There are moments in our lives when we feel exactly the same.

When prayers seem unanswered. When problems keep coming one after another. When we feel alone, unappreciated, or even abandoned.

We begin to ask: “Lord, where are You? Have You forgotten me?”

But listen to God’s response: “Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you.”

What a beautiful image.

A mother’s love is one of the strongest loves we know. And yet God says: “My love for you is even greater than that.”

Even if the world forgets you, even if people disappoint you, even if you feel invisible—God never forgets you.

In fact, earlier in the passage, God says: “In a time of favor I answer you, on the day of salvation I help you.”

This means God is not absent. He is working—quietly, patiently, faithfully—even when we do not see it.

Sometimes, the problem is not that God has forgotten us. Sometimes, it is that we have forgotten to trust Him.

We want immediate answers. We want quick solutions. But God works in His time—and always for our good.

My dear friends, today, the Lord is inviting us to renew our trust.

If you feel tired—God has not forgotten you.

If you feel burdened—God has not forgotten you.

If you feel lost—God has not forgotten you.

He knows your name. He knows your struggles. He knows your story. And He holds you close to His heart.

So today, let us hold on to this one truth: “Lord, even when I do not understand, I will trust that You never forget me.”
