The pilgrim image of Our Lady of Guadalupe from Mexico will visit the Archdiocese of Cebu from September 4 to 6, 2026, as part of the global celebration marking the 500th Anniversary of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill.
The Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe de Cebu will serve as the host parish for the three-day visit, which is expected to gather thousands of devotees, pilgrims, and Marian faithful from across the archdiocese.
The visit aims to invite the faithful to deepen their devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, renew their faith, and seek her maternal intercession as the Church commemorates five centuries since her apparitions to St. Juan Diego in 1531.

The celebration will begin on September 4 with a motorcade carrying the portrait of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego from the Archbishop’s Palace to the Guadalupe Police Station, followed by a solemn foot procession to the shrine.
