Let us not grow tired of doing what is right

“In today’s Gospel, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead—a powerful act of love, a sign of life, a reason to believe.

And yet, what happens?

Some believed in Him. But others… began to plot to kill Him.

It is shocking.

Jesus did something good. He gave life. And still, He was treated as a threat.

This still happens today.

We live in a time when doing good is not always appreciated. Sometimes, honesty is seen as weakness. Kindness is taken advantage of. And Integrity is questioned.

In times of crisis—like what we are experiencing now, with rising prices and economic difficulty—there is a strong temptation: to take advantage, to think only of oneself, to choose profit over people.

And when someone chooses to be honest, to be fair, and to help others, sometimes they are misunderstood, criticized, or even opposed.

But the Gospel gives us one clear message: Do not stop doing good, even if it is not appreciated.

Jesus did not change His mission because of opposition. He remained faithful.

And we are called to do the same.

Be honest, even if others are not.

Be fair, even if it costs you.

Be generous, even when it is difficult.

Because in the end, what matters is not how people respond—but how faithful we are to God.

My dear brothers and sisters, in a world that sometimes rejects goodness, let us not grow tired of doing what is right.

Because every act of goodness…every act of honesty…every act of love…is never wasted in the eyes of God.”
