PDDM Community celebrates Solemnity of Jesus Divine Master

Today, the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master (PDDM) Community celebrates the Solemnity of Jesus, the Divine Master.

Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Holy Mass at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish along N. Escario St., Cebu City. He was joined by the Parish Team of Pastors led by Fr. Isaias “Bobbit” Gerali, and other visiting priests.

In his homily, Archbishop Abet emphasized that keeping Christ at the center requires a total and undivided commitment of our entire being.

“First, love God with your whole life. You shall love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Please notice the very important word, All. Not part of our heart. Not only on Sundays. Not only when life is growing well. Not only when God answers our prayers. All [ang tanan],” he said.

He further stressed that God refuses to share only a fraction of our affection.

“Di pwede nga ang Ginoo anaa lang sa gamay nga bahin sa atong kasingkasing. God wants to be at the center,” he added.

This solemnity is primarily celebrated by the Pauline Family religious congregations, who consider their spirituality to be centered on Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It was officially recognized by the Holy See in 1958.
