41st Annual Walk with Mary to gather Marian devotees in Cebu

The Association of the Children of Mary Immaculate – Vincentian Marian Youth Archdiocese of Cebu will hold the 41st Annual Walk with Mary, a Marian foot procession, on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in commemoration of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

With the theme, “With Mary, We Walk as One as Instruments of Christ’s Peace,” this year’s procession invites the faithful to journey together in prayer and devotion, seeking the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and renewing their commitment to become instruments of Christ’s peace.

The procession will feature the participation of various Marian images from different communities, parishes, and shrines, including:

  4. Our Lady of Lourdes
  5. Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception
  6. Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal
  7. Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary
  8. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
  9. Our Lady, Queen of China
  10. Our Lady Queen of the Visayas
  11. Our Mother of Good Counsel
  12. Patrocinio de Maria Santisima de Boljoon
  13. Patrocinio de San Jose de Mandaue
  14. Salus Populi Romani
  15. Santo Niño de Cebu, El Teniente General de la Guardia
  16. La Aurora de Nuestra Salvacion
  17. La Limpia Nuestra Señora de la Inmaculada Concepcion

The faithful will gather at the Cebu Provincial Capitol at 3:30 a.m. The foot procession will begin at 4:00 a.m. and will proceed toward Plaza Independencia, where a Eucharistic Celebration will be held at 6:00 a.m. The Holy Mass will be presided over by Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy.

All pilgrims and devotees are encouraged to bring umbrellas, rosaries, Marian images, and transistor radios to tune in to the Holy Rosary broadcast throughout the procession.
