“Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I’m only one person. What difference can I really make?”

When we look at the problems around us—corruption, broken families, violence, fake news, and so much anger—it is easy to feel that our little acts of goodness are too small to matter.

That is why today’s Gospel is full of hope. Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a tiny mustard seed and to a little yeast. Both are small. Both seem insignificant. Yet both have the power to transform.

Jesus is reminding us of one simple truth: Never underestimate the power of small acts of goodness.

The world often tells us that only the rich, the famous, or the powerful can change society. Jesus says otherwise. God’s Kingdom grows through ordinary people who faithfully do small things with great love.

A mother who teaches her child to pray. A father who works honestly. A young person who refuses to cheat. A neighbor who forgives instead of taking revenge. A Christian who quietly helps someone in need. These may seem like little things, but in God’s hands they become seeds that grow into something much bigger.

The yeast teaches us another lesson. It works quietly. It does not attract attention, yet it changes the whole dough.

The little girl wasn’t trying to change the world. She wasn’t giving a speech or solving a big problem. She simply showed love. But that small act changed her father’s entire evening.
