Here is the Statement of the 13th General Pastoral Assembly held last November 14-16, 2023 to collectively embrace the direction of the proposed Sugbuswak.

This comes a year after the plan was made public in December 31, 2022.

The statement was read by Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma during the New Year’s Eve Mass at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.

“As we enter into the threshold of a new year, we are aware that also a new horizon of grace summons us to be hopeful. Our assurance in faith is this; that because from the depths of His profound love that overflowed from His side, our ecclesial existence has begun; it is also by His faithful torrents of love that flows unceasingly to each of us, the blossoming of a new springtime of faith will come to us all.” (An excerpt from the statement)
