“During this time of typhoon, we are reminded that we are not meant to face the storm alone.
This is when neighbors become true brothers and sisters. We look out for one another. We protect each other. We share what we have with those who have less. We pay special attention to the elderly, the sick, and the children who are most vulnerable in moments like this.
This is also the time for every parish to let its service ministry come alive. We organize support teams. We prepare food, water, clothing, and basic needs. We offer not only material help, but also presence, comfort, and prayer.
These are sacred moments when our faith becomes visible.
When we help, when we share, when we protect one another, we show what it truly means to be Christians. We show what it means to be Church — one body in Christ, caring for one another in times of distress.
The storm may be strong, but our compassion can be stronger.”
