Partial Transcript of His Holiness’ Angelus Address

“Brothers and sisters, I’m close to the people of the Philippines struck by a violent typhoon.

I pray for those who have died, for their families, and for all those who have been affected by the typhoon.

Today, the Church in Italy celebrates a day of thanksgiving, and I associate myself with the bishops in encouraging responsible stewardship of the land, the reduction of food waste, and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices.

Thank God for our sister mother Earth and for all those who cultivate Mother Earth and care for it.”
