Today, the San Isidro Labrador Parish – Calidngan, Carcar Cebu marked its 3rd Day Novena in preparation for its 68th patronal fiesta.
Cebu Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy presided over the Holy Mass. He was joined by Fr. Lemuel Ejercito (Parish Priest) and other visiting priests.
In his homily, Archbishop Abet emphasized San Isidro’s generosity, setting an example for the faithful that contentment and generosity bring genuine happiness—we do not need to have everything in order to be generous and happy.
“We don’t need much to be happy. Dili kinahanglan nga naa tay hawiran para malipay ta… ang importante nga word, mao ang contentment. Contentment makes a poor person rich; discontent, makes rich people poor.” said the good Archbishop.
The parish will celebrate its fiesta on May 16, 2026. Fr. Januario Kipling Agravante IV, Episcopal Vicar for District 3 Southeast Cebu will preside over the 10:00AM Fiesta Mass.
