The Priest-Formators of the Archdiocesan Seminaries of Cebu gathered at Seminario Mayor de San Carlos for their annual Seminary Formation Program, a three-day continuing formation initiative aimed at strengthening their ministry of accompanying and forming future priests.
This year’s program focused on the psycho-emotional dimensions of seminary formation, equipping formators with deeper insights and practical tools to address the contemporary challenges faced by seminarians and clergy alike.
The seminar covered topics on priestly wellbeing, including stress and burnout, mental health issues in formation, and a synthesis of key insights on the final day. It was facilitated by Fr. Jordan Orbe, Executive Director of the Emmaus Center for Psycho-Spiritual Formation and Accompaniment.
As the Church continues to form shepherds after the Heart of Christ, the program underscored the vital role of priest-formators in fostering healthy, resilient, and spiritually grounded seminarians. May the Holy Spirit continue to enlighten and strengthen them in their sacred mission of accompanying young men on their journey toward the priesthood.
