A real encounter with Christ changes everything

“The story of Saul’s conversion is one of the most powerful in the Bible. He begins as a persecutor—full of anger, determined to destroy the Church. But he ends as Paul, a courageous witness of Christ.

From darkness to light. From hatred to love. From persecution to proclamation. And this story speaks to us today through three simple inspirations.

First: No one is beyond conversion.

Saul was not just a sinner—he was fighting against God. If there was anyone we might think impossible to change, it was him.

But Jesus met him.

So never say, “Dili na gyud na mausab.” Never say, “I cannot change anymore.”

As long as there is life, there is hope. God can change any heart, even ours.

Second: A real encounter with Christ changes everything.

Saul did not change because of advice or argument. He changed because he encountered Jesus. “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”

That moment changed his life.

My dear friends, Christianity is not just knowing about Jesus; it is meeting Him. We may know prayers, attend Mass, and follow traditions. But the real question is: Have we truly encountered Christ? Because when we do, something changes inside us—our priorities, our direction, our heart.

And third: God uses ordinary people to bring others to Him.

After Saul’s encounter, Jesus sends Ananias, a simple disciple. He was afraid, but he obeyed. He went to Saul, called him “Brother,” and became the instrument of his healing.

God could have done everything alone. But He chose to involve Ananias. And that means He wants to use us too.

In simple ways: a kind word, a listening ear, a small act of love. We can help lead others back to God.

In the end, Saul becomes Paul, proclaiming: “Jesus is the Son of God.” What a transformation.

So today, let us ask for three graces: the humility to believe we can still change, the openness to encounter Christ, and the willingness to help others find Him

And may people see in us a life that points to Jesus.”
